Privacy Policy for Zila Namaz

Last updated: 23 October 2026 · Published by Random Apps Studio

Zila Namaz (“the app”) is published by Random Apps Studio. It shows prayer times for the districts of Bangladesh and plays an azan alert at prayer time. This policy explains what information the app and the advertising it shows handle.

What the app itself does not collect

  • There are no accounts, sign-ups or logins.
  • The app does not ask for your location. You choose your district yourself.
  • The app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or files.
  • The app has no server of its own, so we do not receive or store any information about you.

What is stored on your device

Your choices (district, language, theme, which prayers have alerts and your chosen alert sound) are saved on your device only. If you pick a sound from your phone, the app saves only a reference to that one sound and its name. The app cannot see the rest of your music or files, and the sound is never uploaded or shared. All of this is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Permissions the app uses

Notifications
to show the azan alert at prayer time.
Alarms and reminders (exact alarms)
so the alert arrives at the correct minute. You can turn this off in Android settings; alerts may then be late.
Run at startup
to set your prayer alerts again after you restart your phone.
Internet and network state
used only to show ads.
Compass sensor
used on your device to point the Qibla arrow. The reading never leaves your device.

Advertising

The app is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google’s advertising software may collect, from your device:

  • your IP address (which can indicate a general location),
  • your device’s advertising ID and similar device identifiers,
  • how you interact with ads and the app (for example launches, taps, video views), and
  • diagnostic information (for example crashes and performance).

This is used for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. We do not receive this data. See Google’s privacy policy and learn how Google uses data from apps.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android settings (Settings > Google > Ads).

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
