Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy. This page explains exactly what data we collect, why, and what you can do about it — in plain English.
This Privacy Policy describes how Helprspace ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit our website (helprspace.com) or use our services. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.
Who we are
Helprspace is a digital studio specializing in Squarespace website design, founded and led by Khalid Hasan. We serve clients globally with a focus on the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia.
For privacy matters, you can reach us at helprspaceofficial@gmail.com.
Information we collect
We only collect information that helps us serve you. Specifically:
Information you give us directly:
- Contact form submissions: name, email address, business name, current website URL, project type, budget range, timeline, and your message
- Discovery call bookings: name, email, scheduling details (handled through Calendly)
- Client onboarding (paid projects only): business details, brand assets, content, payment information processed through PayPal or Wise
- Email correspondence: the content of any emails you send us
Information collected automatically:
- IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
- Pages visited, time spent, referring website
- Approximate location (country/city level) derived from IP
What we don't collect: We never collect sensitive personal data like government IDs, health information, or financial account credentials. Payment processing is handled entirely by third-party providers (PayPal, Wise) — we never see or store your card details.
How we use your information
Your information is used to:
- Respond to inquiries and provide quotes
- Schedule and conduct discovery calls
- Deliver website design and related services
- Process payments for paid projects
- Communicate about active projects, including timelines, revisions, and launch
- Improve our website and services based on usage patterns
- Send occasional emails about new services or industry insights (only if you've opted in)
- Meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
We do not sell your data to anyone. Ever.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
If you're in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing your data is:
- Consent — when you fill out our contact form or subscribe to emails
- Contract performance — when you're a paying client and we need your data to deliver services
- Legitimate interests — for analytics, security, and improving our services (you can object to this at any time)
- Legal compliance — when required by law
Cookies & tracking technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly and understand how visitors use the site. The cookies we use fall into these categories:
- Essential cookies: required for the site to work (e.g. WordPress session)
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics, which helps us understand traffic patterns (anonymized)
- Functional cookies: remember your preferences (e.g. cookie consent choices)
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site may not work properly without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics specifically by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Third-party services we use
We work with trusted third-party services to run our business. Each has their own privacy policy that governs how they handle your data:
- Google Analytics — website traffic analysis
- Web3Forms — contact form submission processing
- Calendly — discovery call scheduling
- PayPal & Wise — payment processing for paid projects
- Squarespace — when we build your site on Squarespace, their privacy policy also applies
- Email providers (Gmail) — to communicate with you
We only share what's necessary with these services, and they're contractually required to protect your data.
When we share your data
We share your data only in these limited situations:
- With service providers who help us deliver our services (listed in Section 06)
- For legal reasons — to comply with law, respond to legal requests, or protect rights
- In business transfers — if Helprspace is ever sold or merged, your data may transfer to the new owner (you'll be notified)
- With your explicit consent — for anything else
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data only as long as needed:
- Contact form inquiries: 24 months from last contact (so we can follow up if relevant)
- Client project data: 7 years after project completion (for tax and legal records)
- Email correspondence: as long as our business relationship continues, plus 2 years
- Analytics data: 26 months (Google Analytics default)
You can request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 09).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the data we have about you
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion — request we delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability — receive your data in a usable format to transfer elsewhere
- Restriction — limit how we process your data
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — at any time, where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority
California residents have additional rights under CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt out of "sales" (we don't sell data, so this doesn't apply to us, but you still have the right).
To exercise any of these rights, email helprspaceofficial@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
How we protect your data
We take reasonable steps to protect your data:
- HTTPS encryption on our website
- Strong passwords and two-factor authentication on all business accounts
- Limited access — only authorized people on the Helprspace team can access client data
- Reputable third-party providers with their own security standards
- Regular review of data we hold and deletion of what's no longer needed
No system is 100% secure, but we treat your data with the same care we'd want for our own.
Children's privacy
Our services are designed for businesses, not children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
